Berlin Day 3
Today was really really hot. We went to
see the Topography of Terror, Brandenbuger Gate, a Soviet Memorial,
and the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedachtnikirche (Memorial Church). Some
important things that I noticed were that the planned exhibit for the
Topography of Terror was much larger then the actual thing. The
memorial was never completed due to financial issues. Although it was
incomplete, it was still very informative and contained some stunning
pictures. I am unsure of the exact significance of Brandenburger Gate
and the soviet memorial, neither of those were cover in great detail.
As for the Kaiser Wilhelm Church, it was the remains of a pre WWII
church that has been reduced to a single tower and is now a memorial.
Pictures follow, you know the drill
