Paris Day 1
Today we had our first full day in
Paris. We had a full schedule of classwork today. We started be going
to the Champs Elysees and walking to the Arc de Triomphe. The arc is
a memorial to military accomplishments of Napolean. We went to the
top of the arc and there was a great view. The only drawback of going
to the top was the 300 stairs that we had to climb to reach the top.
Basically you were able to see all of Paris from the arc. After the
arc we went to Trocadero square where we had a picnic lunch. After
lunch we walked under the Eiffel Tower en route to the Hotel de
Invalides, the site of Napolean's tomb. Then from there we visited
Notre Dame and a Jewish Memorial in the Seine River. After all that I
was really tired so I decided to head back to the hotel and get some
homework done. I decided to go wash my clothes, and I found a small
shop near the hotel. What I didn't know was the shop was full
service, I ended up paying 28 Euro for getting my clothes washed.
That really really sucked.
Pictures follow, you know the drill
